The Canadian Foodgrains Bank (CFGB) is a non-profit, charitable organization that collects grain and cash donations in efforts to end hunger in developing countries.
You can donate any quantity of your wheat and durum to the CFGB. Deliveries are arranged with the handling company dependent on elevator space. CFGB receives the full pool return value for the grain donated, therefore you are not eligible to receive any future CWB payments.
Grain delivered for donation:
- can be either wheat or durum
- must be in storable condition
- is subject to elevator space
The following classes and grades are eligible for donation in 2014-15:
- Nos. 1, 2 and 3 Canada Western Red Spring (CWRS) wheat
- Nos. 1, 2 and 3 Canada Western Amber Durum (CWAD)
Feed wheat, feed barley or any grades not shown above are not eligible.
